Comment: let's hope no one else gets shot...

More Spanish Prime Ministers have been assassinated in the past 150 years than US Presidents.

Two PP councillors were caught the other day posting messages on social media wishing for the violent death of Pedro Sánchez. Laura del Río, the former mayor of the village of Gomezserracín (Castilla y León), posted that "he deserves to be shot in the back of the neck". Roberto Martínez, a PP councillor in Gimenells (Catalonia), published a photo of Sánchez's head photoshopped onto JFK's car in Dallas, with the message: "I've had a dream. I hope [he] is as good a shot". 10 days ago, the former PP leader in Catalonia, and one of the founders of Vox, Alejo Vidal Quadras, was actually shot in the face on a street in Madrid. Police have made some arrests this morning in Andalusia but the investigation is so far inconclusive. The Spanish Army has opened an investigation into a young officer caught carrying a pistol at the protest outside Socialist Party headquarters in Madrid on Saturday night.
