All it would have taken was a stupid, cheap piece of yellow police tape. 13 human souls could have been saved last Sunday morning in the Murcia nightclub fire if the previous night or a few days before or at any point between the closure order being issued by City Hall more than a year earlier and the flames starting to spread, a police officer like the one in the image above, posted on Twitter today by local authorities, had walked past and actually executed the order with a little piece of yellow tape; it’s over, you’re closed, no partying here. But they didn’t.
