⏰ New publishing schedule
Musk doesn’t get it. He just tweeted: “Twitter at its core is a software & servers company”. He also just fired another 4,400 people, on top of the several thousand from last week. Engineers working on child safety features were cut off in the middle of jobs.
As we were saying yesterday, the core of Twitter is people around the world wanting to share and debate news, thoughts and information quickly, even almost in real-time, responding in most cases to external offline real-world events that affect actual societies and lives. It's not about the code or an app. Twitter is not a car or a rocket or a satellite dish.
The odds of him messing it up get worse by the day. So let’s run with the news idea from yesterday anyway, just in case. There will be:
Morning: 300-500 word column (for subscribers 💰)
Evening: 10-30 point round up of day’s Spain news (free to read)
Starting tomorrow. Weekdays (Mon-Fri).
You can comment on everything on the articles or in the Substack chat.
If Musk destroys Twitter over the next few weeks, that will be a shame but we don’t control that. You will be informed about how Spain is changing anyway.
