Sánchez calls immediate general election after local and regional election disaster yesterday
The Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, has just called an immediate general election for Spain, to be held on July 23, following the disastrous results for the left at the local and regional ballots held across the country yesterday. The PM will hold a cabinet meeting this evening to organise the details and has already informed the King.
