Spanish conservatives begin to form coalition governments with the far-right
The left slams the "shameful" new PP-Vox deal in Valencia
Vox and the PP have announced the deal they have just done in Valencia: the regional government goes to the PP, with some regional ministries going to the far-right, and the speaker of the regional parliament will be from Vox, with deputy speakers for the conservatives. In a statement, Vox says the aims of the new Valencian government will be: freedom, economic development, healthcare and social services, "defending and recovering the hallmarks of our identity" and "supporting families to promote birth rates". Valencia thus becomes the first Spanish region to see a new right-wing deal after the local and regional elections in May, along the lines of the one in Castilla y León last year.
