Much less tweeting, as we were saying yesterday, means more articles for those of you here on Substack. Twelve over the Christmas period is a good result. Here are the audios of those articles. It might turn in to a proper podcast one day but there are always logistical linguistic problems (loads of Spaniards who want to talk about Spain in Spanish but not so easy to find British or American people to do so in English every day or every week).
Everything in Spanish & English
I see many new readers of this Substack sent along by
at , so welcome to you all. Here, as you have seen, everything is in English and Spanish, both the texts and the audios. Thatβs great for your language practice, in either direction. I would like to send you some encouragement as well, in your efforts. It is difficult to learn a new language and it sometimes takes a long time, but I promise you it is possible. I didn't speak a word of Spanish when I was 19 but by 2019 I was able to live blog the entire Catalan separatist trial at the Supreme Court bilingually, and loads of other stories along the way. Although 10 years ago, The Spain Report began only in English, to explain Spain to the world, Spanish readers started asking me to publish the articles in Spanish too, to explain the details of what I was finding out.
