1/ Reuters: “Spain opposes using the European Union's anti-piracy naval force to protect merchant ships in the Red Sea from the Yemeni Houthi militia, but it is willing to consider the creation of a different mission to tackle the problem, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said on Wednesday”.
State media promote the political interests and agenda of the regime. Watching RTVE, especially "La 1", one quickly recognizes the agenda, as well as the recurring Cultural Marxist tropes this government employs.
It is worrying that Sanchez regards the anti piracy naval force in a different light to the proposed force to protect commercial shipping from "pirates" operating from Yemen. Both forces are there to offer protection! This is a weak response from him, and it is not the real reason for his reluctance to give the green light for the Spanish navy to join in the exercise.
Is Galicia the only state to hold elections next February? What has prompted the elections, and is the Independence for Galicia party a realistic threat to the PP and other main stream parties?
So far, it is the first one. Also Basque elections at some point, and maybe Catalonia, but not called yet. Last time, Galicia and the Basque Country went at the same time, after getting caught up in the pandemic. PP is hegemonic in Galicia, in power since 1990, except a brief couple of years for the socialists in the mid 2000s.
Why do the Spaniards don't trust their public tv news?
This is a rhetorical question, right?
Ilumíname.
